Drawing on the Apple Ipad
A video showing a few sketches done on Sketchbook pro and Brushes for the Ipad. I used a pogo stylus and a glove to prevent drawing on the screen with my palm (I drag my hand when I draw). If you are looking for a pogo stylus try amazon or ebay. The glove can be anything you want, you can use a weight lifting glove which I happened to have or a fleece glove that you can cut the fingers out. If you have any questions just ask. These are very quick sketches just to show that you can sketch easily on the Ipad. Take in mind this device does not have any pressure sensitivity, I fake it by playing with opacity. Both Sketchbook pro and Brushes are amazing and easy to use art programs for the Ipad.
@tauttvisz Preferred animal to draw is all. And for quick and easy, they are the fastest for me to draw and show.

Are you wearing the handglove because of palm resting?

you’re awesome! i want the ipad so badly for this exactly! … but im tempted to wait for the second generation ipad is it will undoubtedly be awesome…er

Your an amazing artist. Did a great job with your iPad drawing too. Also I just started drawing muzzles so this might help me out since I do plan on drawing with the iPad once I get stylus.

@greatscott1971 it does support layers and you can save it as a PSD so you can tinker with it on the computer and print it. The file size isn’t giant, but decent enough for the web and some prints. Not poster size by any means.

@Loveless4518 no, get a wacom tablet for that.

@hypersapien sketchbook seems to replicate line work better, it just feels a bit more natural. I am slowly playing with brushes more, but sketchbook is still my favorite hands down.
Personal preference is all.

@sk8terGrlM it does not scratch it, it is just plastic, you would need glass to scatch it or something like so.
[Reply]
@Cresantstar no, nothing replaces the feel of pen and paper.

@Feroc666 sketchbook

This is the thing that made me want an ipad more than anything else
[Reply]
Do you prefer Sketchbook or Brushes?
[Reply]
wow that looks fun <3
i bet its better than a tablet might it be like using pen&paper

Does using a stylus scratch the iPad? And if it does, would it work to cover it in plastic? I do so with my tablet since I don’t like getting scratches on it.

In your opinion, what are the pros and cons for Brushes vs Sketchbook? I enjoy using brushes on my iphone, but I’ve never used sketchbook.

So would you suggest the ipad to someone to use as a drawing pad for really detailed pictures?

epic

Oh… Whoops…

Very interesting. Does this drawing software work in layers like photoshop? Are the images created and saved in high enough resolution for print output?
[Reply]
@BayAreaKING Yes I drew it, but no I would not upload it for public use. It is a character of mine, so not really looking to spread the art around.

@Sharpecostumes the glove prevents me from accidentally drawing with my palm. Remember the screen is capacitive touch so it responds with your skin, so any part of your skin will make a mark. I drag my palm so by covering it, no more stray marks.

@Sharpecostumes sketchbook pro, and you have to download it as it is an item you need to pay for.

@Lengi123 That would be false as this is a pogo sketch. The sketch is the same size tip as any of the other pogos. The only difference is the length of where you hold it.
[Reply]
U should try pogo sketch instead, I think it has a smaller tip so you can be more precise with drawing

For this, I began to understand that the iPad is a Revolution / thank you / I like it
