I remember wanting this game bad. I was a big RType fan and this game reminded me of it. Not as good tho.

This game almost reminds me of the Darius series of side-scrolling shooters. It does so because 2 of the bosses in this game look like fossilized creatures. The bosses in the Darius series all look like giant mechanized animals, fish and such.

Wow, is the parallax scrolling like this on the original console as well?

@MrLazyEyes I think we just gave Konami (the guy that made Castlevania) a new game to work on… maybe the contra guys can make some cameo… ahh… If only this dream become true.

Pretty dead on Mark. I remember getting this game for the tg16 years ago, and ended up thinking the same thing. I enjoyed it but also didn’t think at the time that it stood out from better SHMUPS on the TG16 at the time.

Looks & sounds lovely & reminds me of many other great shooters from the early 90′s as said in the video. For me some of the best shooters were released on the mighty Amiga, which was my machine of choice back then (still own one now I might add) games such as Agony, Silkworm, SWIV, Project X, Xenon 2, & many others. The 90′s was a fantastic time for games, & paved the way for the kind of games we’re playing today. I remember it all fondly :) Cheers for the review, I might just get it myself :)
